2014 Wild Fire Tees by Winnie Hefner

Back in 2014, my home state of Colorado was being ravaged by wild fires. Smoke filled the skies and our beautiful state was being devastated by natural disasters. A group of Designers in Colorado Springs decided to create Wild Fire Tee’s to raise money to help combat the fires. I was lucky enough to submit a design that was chosen and sold.

Honeyville Branding by Winnie Hefner

Honeyville is a home grown brand in Durango, Colorado. It's one of my favorite honey brands that gets its honey from the wild of my home state, I figured a more modern twist on their brand would be fun. :)

Hank and Lou Illustrations by Winnie Hefner

A few years ago, I was approached to do an illustration for a childrens book about two trucks and lessons on bullying. I sadly didn't get the job but really enjoyed the illustrations I made for the pitch. xo.

Astronomy Poster by Winnie Hefner

I've been digging through my old personal projects poster and completely forgot about this one. I've always had a LOVE of Astronomy. Space and the stars, how I love them.

Harris Park Elementary Rebrand by Winnie Hefner

Every so often, I get the opportunity to apply my design skills to something that means the world to me. Elementary School is one of the first places you learn to make friends and to function as an intellectual human being. I've met some of my most favorite people at my Elementary School and we remember that place so fondly. So... I figured it was time to give it a little upgrade. ;)

Pale Blue Dot by Winnie Hefner

“Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there-on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam."

Christmas with the Hefners by Winnie Hefner

Every year, it's a mad dash to try and figure out what to get for my Mother, step mother, and my two Grandmothers for Christmas. I mean, honestly, how do I get four of the coolest women I know a meaningful gift? Thankfully they all like handmade presents and if there's one thing I'm good at, it's a DIY project. One of my grandmothers has a slight (and by slight, I mean major) obsession with light houses. So what better way to bring that to life than kick it old school and make her a "picture"... and by old school, I really mean channel my 4-year-old roots and bust out some craft paper.

As for the other three, I decided on a cute craftier gift; a jar of wishing stars. Folding origami stars is kind of a pain in the ass, jut FYI, but I think the end result was pretty awesome! I would write a special wish on a slip of paper, fold it …

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and here's to an AMAZING New Year! :)
