“We Get to Live in A Time Where We Get to Use Social Media As a Tool”


Today, social media is everything. It's a tried and true way to reach your customers and engage them in their element and as oVertone’s main form of interaction, it’s a great place to not only introduce new products but to educate on product benefits and how to use them.

As the Art Director responsible for maintaining, designing and strategically thinking through all output creative, alongside my ACD, my job is to stay relevant on all social media trends (which has led to a very big obsession with TikTok). This resulted in a new concept called "Shade’Spiration," where we provide followers with fun, social-first instructions on how to create their own inspired hair color. Along with Shade'Spiration, we have implemented timely, seasonal and strategic content that has increased overall engagement, share of voice, brand awareness and new followers, which include “International Friendship Day” and a custom shade aligned with Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte launch date. Some of which drove 1.5M impressions in a single day (our average daily story impressions are around 40k).
